"Let'southward Twist Again" is a song written by Kal Mann and Dave Appell, and released equally a unmarried by Chubby Checker. 1 of the biggest hit singles of 1961, it reached No.viii on the U.S. Billboard popular chart (No.3 on Cash Box) in August of that year and later reached No.2 in the U.K. in Feb 1962. The song refers to the Twist dance craze and Checker's 1960 unmarried "The Twist", a 2-time U.South. No.1 unmarried (in September 1960 and once again in Jan 1962 on re-release).
The song received the 1962 Grammy Honour for All-time Rock & Curl Recording. Checker also recorded the song in German as "Der Twist Beginnt" and in Italian as "Balliamo il Twist". A sample of "Der Twist Beginnt" would afterward exist used by The Residents to brainstorm their 1976 anthology The Third Reich 'due north Curlicue. The song appears on the soundtrack of the 2011 film The Assist.[1]
Croation singer Tatjana Cameron Tajči made a remake of the vocal in Croatian renaming it Moj republic of mali je opasan. In 1985, Kids Incorporated covered "Let's Twist Again" in the Season 2 episode "Stone of Ages".[2]

The song was covered in French by Johnny Hallyday. His version (titled "Viens danser le twist") was released in 1961 and spent seven weeks in full at no. 1 on the singles sales nautical chart in France (from 13 Nov to 13 December 1961 and from 13 January to 9 Feb 1962).[sixteen] In Wallonia (French Kingdom of belgium) his unmarried spent 40 weeks on the chart, also peaking at number i.[17]
